Champagne Griffon-Trichet

Champagne Griffon-Trichet is a small, family-run estate based in the Vallée de la Marne, where tradition and a hands-on approach define every step of the process. Today, the domaine is led by Claire Chrétien, daughter of Béatrice, who represents the new generation and continues the family’s work with a clear and focused vision. Her approach brings renewed precision and energy, while staying deeply connected to the roots of the estate.

The vineyards are spread across carefully selected parcels, planted predominantly with Pinot Meunier, the signature grape of the region. Here, Meunier finds a natural expression, shaped by clay and limestone soils that bring both generosity and freshness. The work in the vineyard is attentive and respectful, with a strong emphasis on maintaining healthy soils and balanced vines. Every decision is guided by observation, allowing each parcel to express its own character.

In the cellar, the philosophy is one of clarity and restraint. Fermentations are carried out parcel by parcel, preserving the identity of each site. Part of the wines is aged in oak, adding texture and depth without overshadowing the fruit. Time plays an essential role, both during élevage and on the lees, allowing the wines to develop complexity while retaining energy and precision.
